Coach Application Process
All Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Goalie Coaches are required to complete these 3 steps to apply
Obtain a Police Information Check (PIC). A PIC is required for ALL coaches. A PIC is valid for 3 years, and will expire on May 31, of the third year. Mavericks Hockey will keep a digital copy of your Police Check on file, and will also update this information in the Hockey Canada Registry, which will link directly to your eHockey account. If you do not know if your police information check is still valid, please login to your eHockey account. You will need a Volunteer Organization Letter from Mavericks Hockey to apply for your PIC. Contact the administrator at email@example.com for your PIC letter.
Check your certifications. Do you have the certifications required for the position you are applying for? You can check your certifications through your eHockey account: https://ehockey.hockeycanada.ca/ehockey/account/login.aspx. Coach certification requirements can be found here: https://www.hockeyalberta.ca/coaches/coaching-requirements/. Just click on the course that you need to register! The coach certification deadline is November 15. All rostered coaches must have the required coaching certifications by that date.
